We at Game Over, like all of you, have been sitting back and watching the latest from 33rd St and 7th Avenue with keen interest. We will not debate here the merits of what is going on with the Knicks (they may not even know themselves), whether Isiah sent Stephon home or he left on his own (with or without permission), whether it is due to starting or not starting. After getting murdered, killed, (or whatever you can call a 32 point blow-out to the Nuggets), we have one and only one interest. Whether Isiah's time is actually being looked at as when the next A Train is going to come, or he is safe as president/coach, we just want the Knicks to play ball. Play ball the New York way. The way it was when we were growing up. Whether you remember Clyde, The Pearl, and the Captain, or the recent edition of Patrick Ewwwwwing!, Starks, and Mase, it hasn't been the same for too long. Whatever it is, whatever the problem, fix it. We want our New York ball back. Game Over.

1st All-City Voting Results |
Sunday, 18 November 2007 |
The first results from the Game Over All-City Voting are in. Even though the voting doesn't officially start until Thanksgiving Day, you voters got a jump and Erving Walker of Christ The King and Sylvan Landesberg of Holy Cross are tied for the top spot. Just behind the two co-leaders are Brandon Romain of Boys & Girls, Darryl Bryant of St. Raymond's, and Eric Troche of Thomas Jefferson. Also in the hunt for the early lead are Keith Spellman of Thomas Jefferson, Kemba Walker of Rice, Kevin Jones of Mount Vernon, Lance Stephenson of Lincoln, Omari Lawrence of St. Raymond and write-in candidate Yves Jules of Canarsie.
Its been a great start. Get the word out this holiday and vote before the turkey, after the turkey, before the games, after the games, in fact, any time. We'll be here taking the totals and reporting them to you. Our next update will be Wednesday, just before Thanksgiving. Have a great Turkey Day. Game Over.

D-Mavs, A-Rod what's the diff? |
Friday, 16 November 2007 |
D-Mavs, A-Rod what's the diff? The D-Mavs beat the San Antonio Spurs the other night and no one cares. Ya see just like A-Rod, what the D-Mavs do in the regular season means nothing. For the Mavs (a-la A-Rod) it's all about the post season. Did the Mavs learn from last years collapse?, Did Baron Davis give back there hearts over the summer? The D-Mavs must continue to win and they will but it means nothing if they don't win in the post season. With Devin Harris at the starting point position a dangerous team has become more dangerous. With Terry and Stackhouse (off the bench) now going up against opponent's second unit, could this be their year? Game Over

Cancel the APB, Steph Returns |
Thursday, 15 November 2007 |
After returning home for a Nathan's hot dog, Stephon Marbury made it back to the NY Knick bench at the Staple's Arena to watch the NY Knicks fall to the Clippers 84-81. There are so many questions here that we are going to pass on most. But for yesterday's loss, would the starting of Stephon resulted in the difference of a three point loss? Would Stephon have given the Knicks the additional three during the time on the floor? Is he really a greater assest on the bench than as a starter? Time will tell.

Where in the World is Stephon? |
Wednesday, 14 November 2007 |
In the latest edition of "As the Knick's Turn", Stephon either walked out or was given permission to leave by Knick coach Isiah Thomas. Reports have it that Stephon was upset on having his minutes and role diminished. Hey, unless there is something up someone's sleeve, if Stephon is not playing, can the Knick's win with a combination of Nate Robinson and Mardy Collins at the point? Speculation was going around the airwaves of the Knick's buying Stephon our of his contract. But again, who then runs the team? Would Stephon had made a difference last night in Phoenix? (A predictable loss considering that Zach Randolph was attending a funeral for his grandmother.) Better yet, when Zach is back, aren't the Knicks a stronger team with Stephon also? And will this latest episode hurt any potential trade value? But get this - Yo, Stephon, maybe to get away from this disfunctional family you should allow them to push you away. We never know what is truly going on behind closed lockerroom doors, but we know this - we'll hear more about it in the coming days. Stay tuned. Game Over.

Best Team in the Land - Go West |
Tuesday, 13 November 2007 |
It may have been late to watch the start (11 P.M.EDT) but if you didn't stay up late night, you missed the best team in the land. UCLA trounced Mid-Major Youngstown State last night. Oh, Youngstown had ideas about an upset, but after leading at 7 - 6 with 16 minutes to go in the first half, it was over. Oh, and you also missed what may be the most talked about big man, Kevin Love. And get this, they played without the number one point guard in the land, Darren Collison. If you want to see the top team n the land (sorry North Carolina), you better do your homework early and take a nap so you can stay up late and check out UCLA.
Earlier we checked out Syracuse. What's up with those uni's? Get them at a tourney or are you guys really an NCAA team? Look more like an add for Tropicana O.J. That's all we're saying. Oh, and of course they won, beating Siena - they never lose at the Carrier Dome in November. And then we checked out Duke abusing New Mexico State. What did you think was going to happen, walking into Cameron Indoor Stadium, an upset? "Nuff Said", Game Over.
